ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADES AROUND OUR AREA:

 

Dutchess County St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Saturday, March 3 at 1 p.m.
With traditional Irish food and music, this yearly spectacle has more than 3,000 participants and includes Irish dancers, bagpipe bands, and floats. It begins at St. Mary’s Church in the village of Wappingers Falls. www.dcsppc.org

 

Kingston St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Sunday, March 11 at 1 p.m.
Sponsored by the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Ulster County’s largest parade forms up in the Kingston Plaza after the annual two-mile Shamrock Run road race.http://ulsteraoh.com/parade.htm

 

Northern Westchester & Putnam St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Sunday, March 11 at 2 p.m.
Stepping off at Mount Hope Road and Route 6 in Mahopac, this annual parade celebrates the Emerald Isle through the participation of local organizations, clubs, high school bands, and dancers. www.saintpatricksdayparade.net

Albany St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Saturday, March 17 at 2 p.m.
The 63rd edition of this parade follows a new route this year, beginning at Quail Street and Central Avenue and traveling east to Washington Avenue. www.albanystpatricksdayparade.com

Rockland County St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Sunday, March 18 at 1:30 p.m.
This parade, which is the second largest in the state, celebrates its 50th year with floats, bands, and revelers in traditional Irish garb. It runs along Railroad Avenue in Pearl River.
